DayOne PACT Welcomes Dan Dahlke as New Chief Executive Officer

Dan Dahlke
DayOne PACT Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors of DayOne PACT is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Dahlke as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer. DayOne PACT is a unique not-for-profit agency that provides service case management, trust and guardianship services for families and people with disabilities in Illinois. Dahlke follows DayOne PACT’s previous long-term Chief Executive Officer, Steve Boisse, who retired from the organization in June. DayOne PACT selected Dahlke after an extensive regional search led by the CEO Search Committee of the Board of Directors. Ellana Mavromatis, DayOne PACT’s Interim CEO and CFC Manager, assisted with the search.

Under Mr. Boisse’s dedicated leadership, the organization built on its strengths, developing new relationships while strengthening existing relationships with partners and supporters.  DayOne PACT anticipates that Dahlke will leverage these achievements to help the organization expand its services to even more individuals in Illinois.

“We are exceptionally pleased that Dan has taken on the role of CEO at DayOne PACT,” said Neil T. Goltermann, Board President. “Dan brings to the role an outstanding combination of energy, compassion, and proven leadership to the challenges of working with people with special needs. His broad knowledge of the developmental disabilities field coupled with years of experience working in non-profit management and fundraising will enable him to plan more effectively for the future, expand our legacy programs, and introduce innovative approaches to life management for the people we serve.”

Dahlke brings over 20 years’ experience in the human services field with expertise in fundraising and organizational leadership. Most recently he served as Vice President of People and Philanthropy at Aspire. Prior to that role, he was Vice President of Operations for Giant Steps. Dahlke holds a BS in Psychology from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received his Master’s in Social Work from The University of South Carolina. He is also a graduate of the Ladder to Leadership program sponsored by the Community Memorial Foundation (CMF) and presented through the Center for Creative Leadership. The purpose of this 16 month program is to develop next-generation leaders to tackle pressing issues in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Dan Dahlke started his role of Chief Executive Officer on September 28th, 2020.

About DayOne PACT

DayOne PACT, formerly PACT, Inc. was founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1981 by families who had relatives with disabilities.  Concerned about the future care of their loved ones, they established the agency to assure that there would be guardianship and related services available when they, as parents, were no longer able to function in that capacity. This service was initially provided in Chicago, but later services expanded to include the greater Chicagoland area.

PACT, Inc. and DayOne Network merged on January 1, 2016. DayOne Network, founded in 1989 was a "sister" agency to PACT, providing almost the exact services, just in a different location. Providing service coordination to children and adults with developmental disabilities, and their families, DayOne PACT’s Child and Family Connections programs provide services through DuPage, Kane and Kendall Counties. Life Management Services provides trust management, trustee and guardianship services nationwide.
